Overview

On December 10th, motivated grade 9 Math students are invited to come with their teachers to the University of Toronto St George campus to explore the exciting field of Computer Science. This event is being organized as part of the national Computer Science Education Week celebrations.

When and Where: Event Details

Exploring CS Day will be held on Friday, December 10th, 2010 at the University of Toronto St George Campus. All sessions will be in the Bahen Centre for Information Technology (BCIT), 40 St George Street (map and directions ).

Students should bring their own lunch or money to purchase lunch on campus.

Here is a tentative schedule.

9:00 - 9:30	Registration
9:30 - 10:45	Welcome and Large Group Session
11:00 - 12:00	Breakout Workshop 1
12:00 - 1:00	Lunch Break
1:00 - 2:00	Breakout Workshop 2
2:00- 2:30	Large Group Session: Wrap-up

How to Register

Students should attend as part of a group from their school. However, individual students must complete the online registration form to indicate their workshop preferences. Students must also provide both their school name and their math teacher's name.

Based on teacher feedback, we expect the day to be popular so please register early.
