How to Print for Assignment 1 ----------------------------- You need to turn in a hardcopy of the HTML source code for assignment 1. From Notepad, you will need to click on File->Print to print your file. You should do this for each of your web pages. When you are entering your text in Notepad, please note that unlike a wordprocessor, you'll need to press the Return or Enter key at the end of each line. Try not to let the lines become too long (sometimes this cannot be avoided if you're using typing in long absolute URLs), or else it will make it difficult to read your printouts because the text will be wrapped down onto several lines. Opening an existing file in Notepad (on Campus) ----------------------------------- When you come back to work on your HTML files at a later time, you'll start up Notepad, and then you'll need to use File->Open... to open an existing file. If you saved your files in the H:\public_html folder on the hard drive, do the following: Where it says "Look in" select the "H:" drive and then double click on the "public_html" folder (public_html will now show in the "Look in" box). Where it says "Files of type" at the bottom, make sure you select "All Files" otherwise you'll be unable to see the HTML files in this directory. Then simply double click on the file that you'd like to open (or single click on the file and then click "open."). After you've made any changes to your file, don't forget to click on File->Save to write these changes out to the hard drive (and don't forget to press the Reload button in Netscape in order to see these changes in the web browser).
