Do you mean, either online trading > or internet banking, or I have to include both > subjects. You could do either, since it says "or." > 2.What is footnote? It is an additional note that you add to your essay; the note is placed at the foot (bottom) of the corresponding page. A number or symbol is generally placed in the essay (at the point where the footnote relates to the text in the essay), and then a note that is identified by the same number or symbol is written at the bottom of that page. In MS-Word, it is quite simple to do this because Footnotes are provided by one of the menu items. You click on the place where you want to reference the footnote, and then you select Insert->Footnote from the menu. It brings up a footnote window for you. Then it places you at the bottom of the document, where you can type in the text for your footnote. This was explained in the MS-Word tutorial on June 27th. > 3.Do I have to present my sources, like for example, > if I find my info about this topic in a book, do I > have to bring that book itself, or just put it as a > reference in the workcite/bibliography? Just include it in the Bibliography section. There are several different bibliography formats mentioned in the references provided on the "Research Resources" web page. You can use any of these bibliography format types. You just need to be consistent (stick with one format type). > 4.The two electronic sources mean searching info from > the internet, is it? Yes, these would likely be a web page of some sort. I suppose they could also be a message from a newsgroup, but that doesn't seem as likely. > 5.Do I have to include pics, some encryptions into my > assignment or just a research paper meaning just > writing 1000-1500 words? You do not have to include pictures. This is a written essay assignment. > Thank you very much, A.L. Hunter andria@cdf.utoronto.ca --------------------- > Hi. I was just wondering if we have to declare our assignment 3 topic to > yourself or to the TA before we begin to work on it. Since you'll be choosing your topic from the list of topics that are given, you do not need to declare your assignment topic in advance. A.L. Hunter andria@cdf.utoronto.ca
