The final exam for both sections of CSC104 will take place according to the following exam schedule.

What's Covered

The final exam is cumulative. In general, you'll find that the exam focuses on the material presented during the lectures.

  3. Types of Questions are:

The majority of the questions are short answer questions.

  4. You are responsible for:

Concentrate on the material that has been covered in the lectures, as this will comprise the majority of the exam. The final exam is perhaps more general than the midterm, but it will test your understanding of concepts more.

I would suggest reviewing old CSC104 exams from the Past Examinations web page (this web page is only viewable from U of T computers, unless you've set up a proxy server from home). Please note that exams that had "J. Lee" as the instructor are not as relevant. Many of the former CSC104 exams used Turing instead of Visual Basic for the programming questions. See if you can answer the programming questions using VB instead of Turing when asked to write a program. You can bring your solution to my office hours or to a TA office hour if you are not sure if your answer is correct.

For the Visual Basic questions on the final exam, we will give you a function's prototype and description, and you will need to fill in the body.
