This is a reminder that all of the programs that you write in this course must be your own work.
You must not accept program-writing help from other students, and you must not give such help to others. It's a fine thing to discuss the design of a program with your friends, but you must not see their code, and they must not see yours.
Also be careful about the help you get from Private Tutors. They generally tend to help students in the same way. You shouldn't really be discussing the actual code in your programs with your private tutor.
A piece of software called MOSS (Measure Of Software Similarity) will be run on all programs submitted. If MOSS thinks two programs look the same (and we'll look at it personally too), you'll need to talk to Jim Clarke about it. Then you'll need to talk to the Dean.
For any sizable problem, there are a great many ways to write a program, and if yours and someone else's look the same, it's because at least one of you committed an offence.
