Ken Sevcik

Ken Sevcik is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science , at the University of Toronto, and holds a cross-appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a member of the Computer Systems Research Group .

Professor Sevcik has been at the University of Toronto since 1971. He holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics (1966) from Stanford University , and S.M. (1970) and Ph.D. (1971) degrees in Information Science from the University of Chicago.

Professor Sevcik's research interests are in the areas of performance evaluation of information and communication systems, and in information representation and analysis in large parallel and distributed databases. He is a co-author of the book, Quantitative System Performance: Computer System Modelling Using Queueing Network Models
