Software for wake-sleep learning of factor analysis models

Software is available for learning factor analysis models using the wake-sleep algorithm, as described in the following technical report:
Neal, R. M. and Dayan, P. (1996) ``Factor analysis using delta-rule wake-sleep learning'', Technical Report No. 9607, Dept. of Statistics, University of Toronto, 23 pages: abstract, associated references, postscript, pdf.
This software is meant only to demonstrate the method described in the paper. It is certainly not recommended for people who actually need to fit factor analysis models.

The software should run on any Unix system with an ANSI C compiler. There are some S-Plus functions included as well, but they aren't needed to run the basic program.

First (and probably only) release of 24 July 1996: tar archive.
