Welcome!

I am TaeHyung (Simon) Kim, a PhD student at the University of Toronto. I got both my BSc and MSc degree from the Department of Computer Science at University of Toronto in 2011 and 2014.

I was born and grew up in a great city of Seoul, South Korea. Then, I moved to Canada (Langley, British Columnbia) where I graduated my high school. Then, I moved to Toronto for my undergraduate study. Until now, life in Canada has been fascinating!

I am working in a field of computational biology and in particular on clinical interpretation of genomic variants and RNA expression from serial time-points. Regarding my research environment, I am very fortunate to study under the guidance of Dr. Zhaolei Zhang. You can find further details about my work in the research page.

While I am not working, I usually try to read at home/cafe. In particular, I enjoy running.
