What's On
One day each week is set aside for college football, another for the
professional brand. Most fans enjoy both varieties. Nothing can put an
avid fan into pique more quickly than missing an important contest. It is
only dilettante who eschews amateur variety and watches only the professional
contests. An atypical fan only watch his home team play. However, the
enthusiasts will continue to view the contests involving teams which have
no direct connection to their town or college. Some intrepid fans have been
known to view high school contests when that was all that was offered. Public
interest in football increases each year, while interest in other sports may
be on the wane.
