We have an opening for a research associate or
post-doctoral fellow to work on computer vision, signal processing, and video analysis
algorithms for applications health monitoring. You will join a leading
multi-disciplinary research team centred at the Toronto Rehabilitation
Institute, part of the University Health Network and affiliated with the
University of Toronto. Toronto Rehab is the largest rehabilitation hospital in

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s or PhD
in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, computer science or a related
discipline. She or he is also expected to have experience related to applying
computer vision, video analysis, or image analysis techniques in research.
Knowledge of face detection, facial landmark tracking (e.g. AAM: Active
Appearance Models, or deep nets) will be a strong plus. Excellent programming
and system integration capacities are expected (Python, Matlab, C++).
Experience with open source libraries is strongly desired. In particular,
having a good command of OpenCV (in Python) will be a strong plus. Having
previous experience with the Menpo Project for AAM face detection and tracking
will get you an interview.
