  • Ride to Conquer Cancer
    The Ontario Annual Ride to Conquer Cancer is an epic cycling event to raise money benefiting Princess Margaret Hospital for cancer research. Our team --- IBM-OCI-Roche Integrative Discovery Team --- have raised over $270K between 2008-2013.
    Team Ian Ride
    Team Ian Ride is a journey, on bike from Kingston to Montreal, and in support of cancer informatics. This ride is in memory of highly talented and motivated student - Ian Lawson Van Toch. The funds support:
    • Ian Lawson Van Toch Memorial Award for Outstanding Student Paper Award at ISMB
    • Ian Lawson Van Toch Internship Award in Cancer Informatics
    • Ian Lawson Van Toch Seminar Series in Computational Biology
    2025 Update: We are delighted to announce that the Team Ian Ride is re-launching in support of Ian’s Fund for Computational Biomedical Research at PMCF! I will embark on a Team Ian Ride for the 9th time. The ride will take place the weekend of May 31-June 1, 2025, a distance of more than 100kms from Montreal to the Eastern Townships (and then back the next day), will mark a new chapter in Team Ian's proud history.
