The next game jam will take place at OCADU, likely at 100 McCaul Street (the big checkerboard building on coloured stilts). Meet on the 6th floor, in the big open work section in the middle of that floor. Will post more specifics here as they come up :)
Adam Robinson-Yu (the former TA who gave the Unity demo in the first week) wanted me to share the link to the project he created in that demo:
He also said that you can reach out to him at adamgryu@gmail.com or check out his website at www.adamgryu.com.
Everybody in this course should sign up for the Ubisoft Toronto NXT challenge, which takes place in April and is used by Ubisoft Toronto to identify candidates for future hires. Even if you decide not to participate later, it's always a good idea to put your name in and get included on the email announcements!
On the first and second Saturdays of the semester, there will be a game jam taking place from 10am to 4pm. The first one with take place at UofT, in BA3200. Make sure that you've gone over the tutorials for at least one of the game design tools that we suggest on the course info sheet before you attend, and be prepared to put a game together by the end of the afternoon!
In order to know how to form groups and how to contact you in the future, we've set up a form to find out more about you. Please fill this out as soon as you can: CSC404 Info Form.
Something to consider when putting your game design together (with a big grain of salt):
